The Problem

Rod Robb has been operating Shetland Fireplaces for a number of years after over 20 years of experience in supplying, installing and maintaining chimney systems, stoves and fireplaces. However, Rod was not being discovered by a greater audience as he had no online presence and he wasn't truly given the opportunity to showcase his quality of work.

Rod had no online presence and had continued to garner new customers through word and mouth. He wanted to streamline the process for those that enquired about his services, and showcase his work and services in a more efficient fashion.

The Solution

Rod got in touch with us and told us about his ambitions for Shetland Fireplaces. We reaffirmed the idea that the move into the digital world was a must. We spoke to him about the options and the importance of online businesses in the current digital age.

Rod did not want the website to become a marketplace or somewhere that he could sell directly to potentially customers, and we agreed with the nature of the work and services provided, it was best that the website became the starting point in a customers journey with Rod. The website would instead display the quality of work and care shown by Rod for his work. We also supported his move onto Facebook after he had some difficulty getting it set-up and functioning to the best of its ability.
