Lerwick Engineering & Fabrication specialise in a number of industry, including engineering, renewables and oil & gas. They have been at the forefront of their industry in Shetland since they were founded in 1994.
LEF's website had previously been built and run on a DIY website builder and only one member of the team had access to make changes and update it. This was an issue as the member of the staff was very busy and didn't have the time to make regular and sufficient changes to the site.
The new website has been built and designed from scratch to best match LEF's requirements to both promote them and allow accessibility for more members of the team to make changes to content, including photos and news. This meant the new website was built on a suitable Content Management System that gave everyone within the company the relevant access to update the website as and when needed.
The CMS is easy-to-use and training was provided.
LEF now have a website that can be regularly updated and do not rely on one member of staff to make all relevant changes.
JLP continues to offer support when needed, but since the website went live the vast majority of updates and changes to the website have been handled directly by LEF themselves.
